A gastronomic, addictive delight from paradise on earth: Honolulu Cookies

Who does not like a cookie? It is said that cookies are the sweetest little bit of comfort food. They are very bite-sized and personal. Besides aquamarine oceans, azure blue skies, breathtakingly beautiful sunrise and sunsets, rainbows and luau, Hawaii is also famous for these delectable, tongue tickling shortbread cookies that make you want more after you have gorged down the last bite. They are aptly named Honolulu Cookies, as they spread the spirit of Aloha all around the world.

Few of the brands have become more iconic to the city than Honolulu Cookie Company (HCC).

Honolulu Cookie company was started in 1998 by entrepreneurs Keith and Janet Sung.
Coming from an artistic background, Keith has transformed each cookie into a fine piece of art. Whether it is the delectable taste, melting in mouth consistency, unique pineapple shape or its artistic and sophisticated packaging, it’s a gastronomic delight for the natives and tourists alike.

The duo wanted to create something very unique, depicting the Hawaiian spirit of hospitality and at the same time look very aesthetically pleasing. So, after much thought and deliberation, the iconic pineapple shape cookie was born. Ahmad Yu, the company's vice president of operations says, "Our pineapple shape allows people to identify the brand with the Islands. It's tropical, it's warm, it's friendly…it's Hawai'i."

Originally, the cookies were only available as whole sale products. But, the popularity and rising sales led the owners to open a string of retail stores island wise. The first retail store was opened in Ward Village and now the HCC have 11 store locations on Oahu, 3 locations on Maui and 2 locations in Las Vegas, NV and 1 on Guam.

The cookie comes in more than 20 flavors, including Kona coffee, macadamia nuts, lilikoi, mango, and pineapple. Recently Guava was also added, and in short time it has become very popular with the consumers. The chocolate chip and the chocolate dipped and the dark chocolate dipped... are made from Guittard white chocolate, milk chocolate, or decadent dark chocolate.

All the cookies are made from premium, high quality ingredients.  All the bakers and employee gather at early morning 5 A.M. at the Sand Island factory and bake the cookies fresh to deliver them island wise. Every cookie is individually wrapped to preserve its crisp, oven-baked freshness and delivered to our stores daily.

All the stores and outlets in malls and shopping center are well known for the great hospitality that Hawaii has to offer. The staff is super friendly and you can taste all the cookies before buying them. You can choose your own box, along with the assortment of cookies or buy the prepackaged ones.

The cookies are also shipped Internationally and nation wide.

The cookies make a wonderful gift to take back home for friends and family and relive your vacations at paradise on earth.

Our mission is to spread the spirit of Aloha around the world with gourmet cookies made in Hawaii.
